I am re-exploring both Yosa Buson and Akiko Yosano. Your broadcast has given further insight into tanka and Japanese poetry. I am especially thankful that you had both a male and a female guests. I feel, it is important to understand these perspectives in Japanese poetry.

great broadcast! it is good to honor female tanka poets. i am the editor of Moonbathing: a journal of women’s tanka. as far as i know, this the first all women’s tanka journal in the US.
