Wonderful kasen! I like the way things, “unfold”. Going “back” to the first two verses, I felt a little curious about “back” and Kris’s (if I can be so familiar to use her first name as I’ve recently become facebook friends) explanation was interesting. Her siting of adjacent verses was insightful. The love verses are some of my favorite, too. The first renku in Japan I wrote had a tendency to have a strong passion theme for the love verses. Al’s point about face to face is wll taken, but, tools like Skype can give you a virtual feel of this, I’ve found. But about four players are the limit. Ah… Topic checklist is a good idea. Well… Renku On! Sabaki Rules! Thank you newlyweds and new friends for an enjoyable Haiku Chronicle recording. I hope in the lenght of our lives we’ll have a chance to renku.
